At present, my main body of personal work involves looking at the wild animals, insects and plants that live around me. I am interested in the close up detail, sometimes swapping elements and colours. The camouflague element found in nature is explored and sometimes incorporated too. Another process in my work is of that repeating and layering images. The variety of materials and techniques help me explore these ideas.
Alongside my own work I have worked extensively and still do, on a huge variety of Community Art Projects. This has included a mixture of ages, abilities and venues. Such projects have involved teaching a range of art techniques and allowing the exploration of personal creative development. The outcomes have varied from one off workshops with a take home creation to permanent exterior pieces. This has been with other artist collaboratively and solely by myself.
